Single-Vehicle Crash Kills Driver In Dale City: Police

Prince William County Police responded to a fatal crash, shooting and other incidents in the eastern part of the county over the weekend.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A driver died in a single-vehicle crash in the Dale City area Sunday night, according to Prince William County Police.

Police had responded to the crash on Dale Boulevard near Kirkdale Drive around 8:41 p.m. Sunday. Police investigation found a 2013 Ford Focus was heading west on Dale Boulevard when the vehicle went off the road and into the left-side median past Kirkdale Drive. The vehicle continued onto the grassy median and struck a tree.

The driver was taken to the hospital and later died. Police say there were no other occupants and no other vehicles involved.

The driver was identified as Dillon Grier Harlow, 25, of Woodbridge.

Shooting Investigation: On December 14 at 3:30PM, officers responded to the 16000 block of Hayes Ln. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed a 21-year-old man had been shot in the upper body and was found lying near the side of the roadway by responding officers. The man refused to cooperate further with the investigation and was treated at an area hospital for injuries determined to be non-life threatening. No additional injuries or property damage were reported.

Aggravated Assault: On December 13 at 10:17PM, officers responded to the Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center located at 15200 Potomac Town Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was approached from behind by two unknown males, possibly juveniles. During the encounter, the suspects struck the victim causing him to fall to the ground where they continued to assault the victim before leaving the area. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries where the police were contacted.

Brandishing of a Firearm: On December 15 at 5:10PM, officers responded to the area of Richmond Hwy. near River Ridge Blvd. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old woman, was driving in the above area when she was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a white Toyota sedan. During the encounter, the other driver brandished a firearm before the parties separated. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported. The driver was last seen wearing a black ski-style mask.

Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor: On December 15 at 5:01PM, officers responded to the Featherstone Square shopping center located in the 14500 block of Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an unattended child. The investigation revealed the victim, a 4-year-old girl, was located by a Good Samaritan alone inside a vehicle in the parking lot. While officers were on the scene, the victim’s mother and a male acquaintance, identified as the two accused, returned to the vehicle and met with officers where they were subsequently detained. The child was not injured and released to the custody of known parties. Following the investigation, the two accused, identified as Murcia
Rosa Rixi Mabley, and Antonio Cesar Vazquez Torres, were charged.

Brandishing of a Firearm: On December 12 at 11:07PM, officers responded to the 16800
block of Richmond Hwy. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation
revealed the victim, a 43-year-old man, and another man, later identified as the accused,
were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated in a parking lot. During the encounter,
the accused brandished a firearm towards the victim before the parties separated and the
victim contacted the police. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants
for the accused, identified as Charles Lindbergh Leach. Attempts to locate the accused
have been unsuccessful.
