Some Yellow Flashing Lights at Schools to Remain Operational During Summer
School may be out on Friday, but drives will need to obey the lights.

- The following comes from Prince William County Schools. It is unedited.
The last day of the regular school year for Prince William County Public School students is Friday, June 17. Motorists will notice that the flashing school lights on the approach to some schools may be operating during the summer months. Motorists are reminded to heed those lights.
The School Division operates summer school sessions and those lights indicate student and bus activity at these locations. Summer school sites will have their lights adjusted to reflect their operating times and other schools will have their lights turned off while school is out of session. However, motorists can expect the lights to continue operating for about a week after school has ended. Lights are programmed to operate automatically and must be manually adjusted by going to each location.
