Special Easter Events This Month At Potomac Mills In Woodbridge

Several photo-centric Easter Bunny events are this month at the Potomac Mills shopping complex, including one for special-needs kids.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—If you're looking for a place to take the kids to have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny, you might want to check out Potomac Mills (2700 Potomac Mills Circle). The "Bunny Photo Experience" is underway and will run through April 20 at Center Court. Too, "Pet Photo Night" is 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14.

The shopping complex also will have an exclusive event 9-10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 7, before the mall opens for special-needs kids. In association with Autism Speaks, the "Caring Bunny" event will feature steps that have been taken to reduce sensory triggers, including:

  • Turning off in-mall music, stopping escalators located near the photo set, dimming the lights and shutting down fountains for the duration of the event.
  • Eliminating queue lines through the use of a numbering system whereby guests approach the set when their number is called.
  • Special activities geared toward the needs of guests during the "wait" period.
