Tito Muñoz Joins Romney National Steering Committee

Former 36th district Senate candidate will be stumping for Romney in the upcoming election.

Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has named former 36th district Senate candidate Tito Muñoz to his national Hispanic Steering Committee, The Washington Post reported.

Romney made the announcement on Friday, revealing his “Juntos Con Romney” committee which named leadership in Virginia, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin, reported the Post. 

The national leadership pulls from members of Congress and governors, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), whom the Romney campaign said is being “thoroughly vetted” for Vice President.

Muñoz is a Woodbridge resident who became known as “Tito the Builder” after speaking at a 2008 rally hosted by former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
