Traffic Alert: Bus Fire on HOV Lanes Causes Delay on I-95
Delays starting to pile up as two HOV lanes are closed.

Update: 7:35 p.m.: The bus fire was a MARTZ commuter bus carrying 40 people, according to Virginia State Police. No one was injured in the fire. The HOV lane and a left southbound lane of I-95 are closed. Fire units are on scene investigating the cause of the fire.
Update: 7:30 p.m.: Fire on I-95 HOV southbound lanes is out, but two lanes are still closed. Officials are saying the lanes could be closed up to three hours.

Virginia Department of Transportation reports a delay piling up near exit 158 on the High Occupancy Vehicle lanes on Interstate 95.

As of 7:08 p.m., two lanes were closed on the HOV lanes and delays were starting to pile up as early at the Route 123/Gordon Blvd exit.
An alert from VDOT said that drivers can expect "major delays due to a vehicle fire. Two reversible lanes are closed. Traffic backups are approximately one mile."
