Triangle Man Walked Into Traffic Before Fatal I-95 Crash: Police
Authorities said a 69-year-old Triangle man walked into oncoming traffic before he was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer on I-95.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 69-year-old man died on Wednesday when a tractor-trailer hit him on Interstate 95 in Woodbridge, Virginia State Police said.
Authorities identified the man as Lloyd Felder, a Triangle resident.
No criminal charges have been filed against the tractor-trailer driver.

The crash occurred around 9 a.m. on Wednesday near mile marker 158 on northbound I-95, authorities said. Felder was driving a black Toyota Tundra when he pulled over onto the right shoulder.
"Felder then exited his vehicle and stepped into the northbound travel lane, where he was struck by an oncoming tractor-trailer," state police officials said in a news release. "The tractor-trailer was unable to avoid striking Felder, who died at the scene."

Authorities are investigating the crash as a possible suicide, the police report said.
The crash caused several miles of delays on I-95. The Virginia Department of Transportation said the roadway fully reopened around 1 p.m., after hours of lane closures.
