Police were called to Potomac Hospital on Sunday for a call of an allegedly intoxicated subject.
When police attempted to arrest her and while going to the police cruiser, the subject allegedly became disorderly and refused to get into the cruiser, causing a struggle.
Police said Cassandra Gay Young allegedly kicked the officer in the upper body. No injuries were reported, but Young faces charges of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, intoxicated in public and obstruction of justice.
