Are you wondering where your new district is since the redistricting process took over? Prince William County government has a web page for you to find your new district before elections later this year. View the website here. 

Prince William County has submitted its redistricting plan to the United Stated Department of Justice for preclearance under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. A copy of the submission is available for inspection on the County’s website at www.pwcgov.org/resdistricting (this page), (Redistricting Plan Submission) and in the County Attorney’s Office, 1 County Complex Court, Prince William, Virginia, 22192. Data in the submission that is on cd will be made available upon request. Comments about the submission may be direct to the United States Attorney General.

Every 10 years, the County must reexamine its magisterial districts in order to ensure that the districts are evenly distributed, based on the U.S. Census results. Prince William County has experienced tremendous growth in the last 10 years, which will likely mean changes to the magisterial districts in the County. Potential changes to magisterial districts will be based on analysis of the population data from the 2010 U.S. Census.
