What's Open, Closed For Christmas 2024 In Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Families will get a holiday break from work and school to celebrate winter holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwaanza.

This year, Christmas falls on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and may result in holiday closures and schedule changes over several days. In Woodbridge and the rest of Prince William County, schools are closed for an extended break. Local government offices and some other services will be closed for several days.

Here are all the openings and closings to know around Manassas and Prince William County for Christmas Eve on Dec. 24 and Christmas Day on Dec. 25.

Prince William County government offices: Closed on Dec. 24 and 25.

Prince William County Public Schools: Closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3.

ABC Stores: Virginia ABC stores will close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 24 and be closed on Dec. 25.

Courts: Prince William County courts, Circuit Court Clerk of Court's office, and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia are closed Dec. 24 to 26.

Department of Motor Vehicles: Virginia DMV locations will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25.

Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park: Closed Dec. 23 to Dec. 26, and the last day is Dec. 27.

Libraries: Prince William County libraries will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25.

OmniRide: On Dec. 24, there will be regular service on OmniRide Prince William Metro Express, OmniRide Local, OmniRide Access Paratransit and OmniRide Connect Microtransit but no service on OmniRide Express. On Dec. 25, there will be no service.

Post offices: Closed on Dec. 25.

Recreation centers: Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center and Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center are closed on Dec. 24 and 25.

Trash and recycling: The Prince William County Landfill Complex will close at 2 p.m. on Dec. 24 and be closed on Dec. 25. For private trash collection services schedule changes, contact your hauler.

Virginia Railway Express: There is no VRE service on Dec. 24 and 25. Trains will run on an S schedule on the weekdays between Christmas (Dec. 25) and New Year's Eve (Dec. 31).
