WOODBRIDGE, VA—A woman has been charged for her role in a fatal crash early last month at the intersection of Opitz Boulevard and River Rock Way, according to Prince William County Police. Nusrat Jahan Prithee, 25, of the 1900 block of Old Post Terrace in Woodbridge, was charged with failure to yield on a left turn.

Shortly after noon on Dec. 4, police went to the scene for a reported crash. They found that the driver of a 2008 Toyota Camry—Prithee—was trying to make a left turn onto southbound River Rock Way. She was then hit by a 2016 Hyundai Genesis—driven by Sellman—headed east on Opitz Boulevard.

Donald Lee Sellman, 87, of Woodbridge, was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Prithee also was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police say speed, alcohol and drug use were not factors in the crash.
