Woman Fires Shots Into Air During Woodbridge Parking Lot Brawl: Police
The woman had left the scene before police arrived, but called police later to claim she was assaulted, says Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge woman was arrested Friday by Prince William County Police after allegedly firing shots into the air during a group fight.
Dwana Sh'Nera Hampton, 28, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm.
Officers were on routine patrol shortly before 2 a.m. in the 3000 block of Golansky Boulevard when they saw a large group of people fighting in a nearby parking lot. Before they could respond, two suspects flashed handguns and began firing into the air before fleeing in a vehicle, according to police.

Soon afterward, one of the suspects, Hampton, contacted police and told them she had been assaulted during the fight and that she had, in fact, fired shots into the air.
Police went to her home in Woodbridge, recovered the gun and arrested her. She later was released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.

The other suspect remains at large.
