Woodbridge Man Charged With Strangulation
The woman lost consciousness during the assault, Prince William County Police said.

A Woodbridge man is accused of choking a woman until she lost consciousness, according to Prince William County Police reports.
Raul Castaneda-Peralta, 19, of Azalea Lane in Woodbridge, is charged with strangulation.
Police responded on Tuesday at 10:09 p.m. to the 1700 block of Azalea Lane, where a 23-year-old Woodbridge woman reported that she and Castaneda-Peralta had been in an argument that escalated.
"During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim onto the bed and began to choke her," Perok said in a press release. "The victim further reported that she had lost consciousness."
The victim sought treatment at a hospital for minor injuries to her neck and shoulders. Castaneda-Peralta was arrested after an investigation and held without bond.
