Woodbridge Man Charged With Striking Man With Glass Bottle

The accused is an acquaintance of the victim.

On Aug. 29, Sean Mulcahy was charged with malicious wounding after he turned himself into police, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Early in the morning of Aug. 28, a 20-year-old Woodbridge man in the 1400 block of Flagship Drive was reportedly assaulted by an acquaintance and struck with a glass bottle. 

"The victim, a 20-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was visiting a friend at their address in the area above," Perok said. "While there, the accused, a known acquaintance, entered the residence and struck the victim with a glass bottle."

The victim left the house and contacted police. The victim was then taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. 

"Following an investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused," Perok said.

Mulcahy's court date and bond information is unavailable.
