In Woodbridge Pedestrian Death, Police Give More Details On Striking Vehicle

After two vehicles hit a pedestrian in a fatal crash, Prince William County Police have new information on the vehicle that left the scene.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County Police have obtained additional details about the striking vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run of a pedestrian in Woodbridge. Police say two vehicles hit the pedestrian last Thursday, but only one of the vehicles stopped.

The pedestrian crash happened in the area of Richmond Highway near Easy Street around 9:03 p.m. on March 20. Police responded to a report of an unconscious man in the road. An investigation determined a 2012 Toyota Highlander heading south on Richmond Highway struck a pedestrian, who was attempting to cross outside of a crosswalk. The pedestrian was struck by a second vehicle heading south on Richmond Highway.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where he died from injuries from the crash. He was identified as Miles Jonathan Moore, 53, of Woodbridge.

Police now say the second striking vehicle was a 2018 to 2025 dark-colored Toyota Camry with damage to the front left bumper and fender area. The first striking vehicle remained on the scene of the crash.
