Woodbridge Teacher Charged After Throwing Shoe At Student: Police
Prince William County police said the incident occurred at Rippon Middle School in Woodbridge.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge teacher is facing charges after police said she threw a shoe at a student.
Prince William County police responded to Rippon Middle School, located at 15101 Blackburn Rd. in Woodbridge, after receiving a call about an assault involving a teacher and student.
According to police, 37-year-old Delia Pruitte of Triangle was speaking to the student, identified as an 11-year-old boy, in a hallway when the incident occurred. Police said at one point, she took off her shoe and threw it at the student, striking him in the hand.

The boy suffered minor injuries, police said.
Pruitt was taken into custody and later released on a court summons. She is charged with assault and battery.
