Woodbridge Teen Charged With Bomb Threat in Dumfries

Triangle Fried Chicken employees told police an unknown male had reported a bomb in the building, Prince William County Police said.

Police have charged a 16-year-old Woodbridge male with threats to bomb after a bomb scare in a Triangle Fried Chicken at 18069 Triangle Shopping Plaza in Dumfries on Jan. 5, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

On Jan. 5, police responded to the Triangle Fried Chicken for a bomb threat.

"Employees reported to police that an unknown male had called the establishment and reported a bomb was in the building," Perok said. "The building was evacuated and a Virginia State Police bomb dog was called to conduct a search which resulted in no explosive device being found."

Intelligence Unit detectives found a suspect. After an investigation, the teen was arrested and charged Feb. 27.

His court date and other information is unavailable.
