WPCCA Awards Businesses for Beautification
Beautification awards for Route 1 and Dawson Beach Road
From Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association:
The Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association (WPCCA) awarded Beautification Awards to four local businesses for their efforts to improve the aesthetics of the Woodbridge District. The awards are part of WPCCA's "Keep Woodbridge Beautiful" program, a community beautification action plan.
The recipients were Shear Scapes, Inc., Arban and Carosi, Inc., Vulcan Materials Co., and of Woodbridge.
Shear Scapes, Inc. is a landscaping company that provides gratis work on the "Welcome to Woodbridge" sign on Route 1. Residents and visitors have been welcomed to our Woodbridge by the generosity and skillful work of Sam and Nancy Marouf's community minded company for several years.
Arban and Carosi, Inc. was recognized for its effort to keep its Dawson Beach Road facility clean and orderly. Arban and Carosi employees can be found cleaning the grounds of the plant daily.
Vulcan Materials, Co. received an award for the landscaping along its property at the entrance to Woodbridge.
Koons Kia recently completed a renovation of its car dealership on Route 1. The business owners and architects worked with WPCCA throughout the project approval process taking citizen input on the designs.
These four businesses are to be commended for their partnership with WPCCA to "Keep Woodbridge Beautiful." "WPCCA would like to reward good behavior and responsible community stewardship on a regular basis. Businesses interested in partnering with our association should feel free to contact us and join the effort," said John Karhnak, Chair of WPCCA.
