GLY Construction Honored by Secretary of State With Community Service Award

On March 16, Bellevue-based was presented the “Corporations for Communities” award by Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed. The award honors exceptional state businesses that make a concerted effort to give back to their local communities.

Metropolitan King County Councilmember Jane Hague attended the ceremony. “The fact that these are such tough economic times makes GLY’s contribution all the more extraordinary,” said Hague. “It’s heartwarming to see a local Eastside business so engaged in the community. GLY is a model for other companies nationwide.”

Reed presented the State Medallion Award to GLY Construction President and CEO Jim Karambelas.
