The Bellevue motorcyclist crashed late Wednesday evening in the eastbound express lanes of Interstate 90 near the 77th Avenue SE off-ramp.

The troopers are investigating a Wednesday evening crash on Mercer Island in the Interstate 90 express lanes that badly injured 52-year-old Darryl Lartch of Bellevue.

According to a press release, troopers said he was traveling eastbound in the I-90 reversible express lanes and was approaching the 77th Avenue Southeast off-ramp when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a barrier at 9:50 p.m., ejecting the rider.
