Bellevue's Air Quality Remains 'Unhealthy': Report

The air quality could remain 'unhealthy' or 'very unhealthy' until late Thursday or Friday, according to the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency.

BELLEVUE, WA—Winds expected to push the smoke out of the area Sunday failed to materialize, so Bellevue's air quality remains "unhealthy" or "very unhealthy" as of Tuesday.

According to the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, the light rain showers in the area have yet to significantly reduce smoke levels—and it could get worse before it gets better.

"We may actually see smoke levels increase somewhat on Wednesday as winds bring more smoke from Oregon fires north," the agency predicted.

PGCAA added that the air quality will remain "unhealthy" or "very unhealthy" for everyone until late Thursday or Friday, when a storm should clear out most of the smoke.
