• Shoreline 17-year-old pleads not guilty to murdering teen (mynorthwest.com) — A 17-year-old from Shoreline has pleaded not guilty to charges in the killing of a 15-year-old Bellevue High School freshman whose body was found in a Shoreline apartment last June. Prosecutors say he also faces human trafficking and assault charges and is being held on $5 million bail while being tried as an adult. 
• This bookstore's large homeschool section draws families from across Western WA (thenewstribune.com) — Bellevue homeschooling families are driving all the way to Port Orchard for a rare in‑person homeschool curriculum section at the newly reopened One Less Orphan Bookstore. The downsized shop now focuses on new and used books, with about a third of its space dedicated to donated homeschool materials, and continues using profits to help fund adoptions and support orphan care.
