Car Plows into a Bellevue Baskin-Robbins

A man and his daughter in the store escape with minor injuries. The driver and her five-year-old passenger were uninjured Friday afternoon.

Two customers at a Bellevue in Crossroads escaped serious injury when a car plowed into the business after a driver lost control of the vehicle, reported.

The driver of the car and her five-year-old passenger were not injured in the 2:23 p.m. accident, said Lt. Marcia Harnden.  The driver told police she confused the gas and the brake pedals before losing control of her BMW and crashing into the ice cream parlor on 156th Street.

Police didn't identify the two customers other than to say it was a man and his 20-year-old daughter. He complained of back pain and she was treated for cuts from broken glass. Neither were sent to the hospital, she said.

Police said the driver showed no signs of impairment.

"Considering that it's the end of school and it's a nice day, it could have been a lot worse," Harnden said.
