Congressman Dave Reichert Moves Office to Issaquah
The WA8 District that Reichert represents has been redrawn eastward, and now includes more east King County and does not include Bellevue or Mercer Island, where his office was located.

(R-WA8) moved his office to Issaquah last week from Mercer Island, a reflection of the redrawn boundaries of the congressional district.
The Washington State Redistricting Commission redrew the 8th Congressional District eastward, and , which currently is represented by Congressman Adam Smith, a Democrat from Tacoma.
Smith and Reichert will have to run for office in their newly drawn districts and the shift in representation become official when Congress is sworn in next January.

Reichert's new office, which was relocated from Mercer Island, opened to constituents Thursday, March 1, according to his office's press release. The new location is centrally located in Sammamish View Office Building and meets Congressional security criteria. Six full time staff members will use the Issaquah office as home base, according to the press release.
“I’m excited to be moving to Issaquah. My priority as a Congressman is serving my district and my constituents.” Reichert said in a prepared statement. The Congressman, who is in the district nearly every weekend, is very familiar with Issaquah, which was on his patrol route when he was a deputy sheriff in the 1970s, according to the press release from his office.
