Mike Holliday
is the commander of the Civil Air Patrol’s Overlake Composite Squadron based in Redmond, and he has a blog on the squadron on Redmond Patch. Mike's daughter also is playing on a juniors softball all star team made up with players from Bellevue and Kirkland 14- and 15-year-olds, who are competing to play in the Little League World Series in Kirkland in August. This would give them a chance to play against teams from around the world. They are in a tournament against a number of local teams for the honor. Mike is blogging about the Bell-Kirk team's progress until they are eliminated or win the whole thing, whichever comes first (so root for the Bell-Kirk team, so his blog continues!). Read his

If you would like to share your knowledge about your community and you and know how to put a sentence together, we have a place for you here.
If you're passionate about transportation, or politics, or religion, you have a place here. If you are a teen who wants to write about your school or so-called life, a senior citizen who remembers how Bellevue "used to be," a hardware store owner with an axe to sell (or grind), a single mom or dad, a shopaholic, we'd love to hear from you. If you're on the softball team trying to beat the softball team already blogging for Bellevue Patch, you are welcome here.
As political season gets going, we would especially welcome people with political views to apply to be bloggers. If you already hold office, or you are a prospective office holder, we would also be happy to chat with you about blogging on Bellevue Patch.
If you've never had a blog, we'll show you how to do it. If you already have a blog, you can cross-post on Bellevue Patch and drive viewers to your own site. In short, we want to get the community talking and listening and we want you to be a part of the conversation.
If you don't have a blog, drop me a line and let's chat. I have a few ideas for blogs that I'd like to see on Bellevue Patch, and I bet you have things that you'd like to share with your neighbors.
