A Tribute to Peace: Lives of Mahatma Gandhi & Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Please join us commemorating Mahatma Gandhi’s and Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr.’s contribution towards bringing peace and non-violence to our world.  At 2pm, we will begin the celebration with a keynote address by Reverend Dr. Samuel McKinney, civil rights leader and Pastor Emeritus of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Seattle. At 4pm, Donors of the Gandhi Memorial Statue will be honored at the unveiling of the Donor Plaque. From 5-7pm, we will hold a Candle Light Vigil for Peace at the Gandhi Memorial Statue. Sponsored by the Federation of Indian American Associations of Washington.
