Letter to the Editor: Johnson's Experience in Schools Worthy of Respect and Vote
Ronna Sarvas Weltman of Clyde Hill: Betsy Johnson has put years into the district as a volunteer and deserves to be retained as Bellevue School Board member.

I volunteer with College Corps at . Volunteers like me help kids -- many of them the first in their families to go to college -- with their college applications. I've also been a VIBES mentor, a Bellevue Schools Foundation volunteer and then trustee, I'm volunteering editing essays at Sammamish High School and I've served on various and sundry district committees. In other words, I've been in the trenches with other volunteers. Go to the endorsers page of Betsy Johnson's website, and you'll see her endorsers are volunteers like me and leaders of Bellevue's educational community. Her record is one of asking hard questions and looking difficult problems in the face while maintaining good humor and encouraging consensus. Betsy had done the hard work over these many years to earn our respect and endorsement. Bellevue is a healthier community because of Betsy's leadership. I heartily endorse Betsy Johnson for Bellevue School Board.
