Letter to the Editor: State Sen. Tom Endorses Johnson for School Board

Betsy Johnson is my choice for the Bellevue School Board. Having served 10 years in the Legislature, my criteria for candidates is 1) Are they smart? 2) Do they have integrity? And 3) how effective have they been in their other endeavors? Betsy Johnson wins on all three counts. The issues we face today are complex, and we need Betsy’s knowledge, passion and leadership to take the Bellevue School District to even higher accolades. She’s willing to make the tough decisions that insure our children receive a world class education. Betsy has been a leader on the Board in making sure their decisions are focused first and foremost on the interests of our student. That’s the kind of leadership we need both here in Bellevue and in Olympia. I wholeheartedly support Betsy Johnson for the Bellevue School Board.
