Redmond Police Release Sketch of Rape Suspect

Redmond Police have released a sketch of a suspect they say entered an apartment early Tuesday morning and raped the woman inside.

According to a department news release, the woman was studying in her apartment, located in the 8500 block of 148th Ave. NE, at around 2 a.m. Tuesday when the suspect entered through an open sliding door. He went into a bedroom where the victim was studying, turned off the lights, and put a knife to her throat and proceeded to assault her.

The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Latino male with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat, and a white T-shirt underneath a dark colored sweatshirt or jacket. Police say he is possibly a Spanish speaker with a strong accent.
