The sun came out Saturday on the annual Neighbor Link Picnic at , where children played games and grooved to the reggae and island-inspired tunes by the Po'okela Street Band.

Along with a hot dog lunch available for $1, families could play in the sports activities and games that were available for people of all ages, including water balloon tossing. Many children, though, played in the spray park that is part of Crossroads Park.

The event was not all fun and food, though. Local nonprofits staffed booths at a Volunteer Fair, where residents could learn about opportunities to volunteer. People also could donate to the "Help the Babies" diaper drive Eastside Baby Corner with a drive-through drop-off for diaper and cash donations.
