BELLEVUE, WA -- A Bellevue police officer was arrested early Saturday for an alleged domestic violence assault. Police said the unidentified officer is a 16-year veteran of the force. The incident allegedly happened three weeks ago, prompting authorities to arrest the officer for fourth degree assault. The officer, who was booked into King County Jail, was placed on administrative leave. King County Sheriff's Office will investigate the alleged incident to avoid any conflict of interest, police said.--Photo via Shutterstock
