• United Way of Lewis County activates Flood Relief Fund (chronline.com) — United Way of Lewis County has activated a Flood Relief Fund to help residents recover from recent flooding, with donations also accepted by mail or in person at its Chehalis office. Money will be distributed through Lewis County Emergency Management to families with the greatest need, and donors can even earmark gifts specifically for East Lewis County recovery efforts.
   

• State Sen. John Braun talks affordability, taxes and education (chronline.com) — Chehalis residents may be interested that their state Rep. Peter Abbarno’s concerns about a possible expanding income tax were echoed by Sen. John Braun at a Woodland Chamber luncheon. Braun focused on affordability, warning about new tax proposals, and fielded questions on school funding, insurance costs, and tariffs as lawmakers prepare for the 2026 legislative session.
