Join us for the Edmonds Street Strut 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, October 8th at the Edmonds Civic Field (6th & Bell) at 9 am. This year's event is in honor of beloved Madrona PE teacher, GayLynne Ullerich, who was a devoted champion of kids' health and fitness.

New this year is a kids' 1K for ages 8 and under at 8:40 am. Participants in the 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk include hard-core runners, families pushing strollers and even some four-legged friends – all enjoying the route that covers the scenic city streets of Edmonds.

The Edmonds school with the highest turnout receives the coveted traveling trophy – a golden running shoe and a $500 cash prize for their school's PE department. Maplewood K-8 has won the prize the last two years.

 

Title sponsor is South Snohomish County Commission for Health. 5k Event sponors are Acura of Lynnwood, Walgreen's and Swedish Edmonds. New Kids' 1k sponsor is Orthodontics Exclusively. In-kind sponsors include Running in Motion, Edmonds Wellness Clinic, Costco and Olympic Spine and Sports Therapy.
