Everett Theft/Assault Suspects Wanted: Police
Two people are accused of shoplifting from the Everett Grocery Outlet before slashing an employee with a box cutter on Dec. 23.
EVERETT, WA - Everett police are actively searching for two people suspected of shoplifting from Grocery Outlet and then slashing an employee with a box cutter during their escape.
The theft and assault reportedly occurred at 710 S.E. Everett Mall Way just before 8 p.m. Dec. 23. According to Everett police, the two suspects — a man and woman — went into the grocer and stole roughly $20 in merchandise. As the suspects fled, a Grocery Outlet employee chased them down and demanded they stop.
Outside the store the male suspect threatened the employee before slashing him across the abdomen with a box cutter. The suspect then jumped into a car driven by his female accomplice and fled.
