Major Crimes Unit Detectives Investigate Fatal Granite Falls Shooting In Snohomish County

The victim, a 1-year-old girl, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on scene.

GRANITE FALLS, Wash. – Around 5:50 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 8600 block of SR-92. Medics arrived on scene first and attempted lifesaving measures on the victim. The victim, a 1-year-old girl, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on scene.

Adults who were present at the residence were interviewed by Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives and are cooperating with the investigation.

Positive identification of the deceased, as well as cause and manner, will come from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
