• Edmonds police chief to speak at Jan. 5 Edmonds Civic Roundtable meeting (myedmondsnews.com) — Edmonds residents are invited to hear Police Chief Loi Dawkins discuss the department’s status and 2026 budget impacts at the Edmonds Civic Roundtable meeting on Monday, Jan. 5 at the Edmonds Waterfront Center. The group also plans future events with Mayor Mike Rosen, Edmonds College President Amit Singh, and “Conversations with Council” breakfasts so neighbors can engage directly with city leaders.
   

• Latest Standings Announced for the 2025 BroadwayWorld Seattle Awards; REEFER MADNESS Leads Best Musical! (broadwayworld.com) — Edmonds theatre fans will see plenty of hometown representation in the latest BroadwayWorld Seattle Awards standings, where Edmonds Driftwood Players and their productions earn repeated nominations from acting to design. Several shows like “Clue: The Musical,” “Drinking Habits,” and “Miracle on 34th Street” are in the running, giving local audiences extra reason to follow the January results.
   

• Puget Sound Regional Council releases draft Regional Transportation Plan for public comment (myedmondsnews.com) — A major long-range transportation plan that will shape roads, transit, ferries and bike routes across Snohomish County — including Edmonds — is now open for public comment through Feb. 2, 2026. Regional leaders are proposing a $335 billion blueprint to maintain existing infrastructure, improve safety, cut emissions and coordinate projects through 2050, and they’re asking residents to weigh in online or by mail.
