Police Investigate Murder Of Homeless Man

Michael T. Boon, 46, an apparent transient from Everett, was found dead in a wooded area along the 4500-block of Broadway last Friday.

EVERETT, WA - Police in Everett are looking into the death of a homeless man after an investigation and autopsy performed over the weekend and Monday revealed the man died as a result of homicidal violence.

Everett Police on Tuesday announced the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's finding from Jan. 7 that 46-year-old Michael T. Boon was murdered.

Boon's body was reportedly discovered in a wooded area near the 4500-block of Broadway just before 1 p.m. Jan. 4. The city's Major Crimes Unit immediately began investigating and working with the SnoCo Medical Examiner to identify the body and determine the cause of death.

Police say Boon is from Everett but is thought to have been homeless.
