Snohomish County Sheriff's Office: CIU Detectives Seek Witnesses In Fatal Monday Night Collision In Lynnwood

When deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim, a 34-year-old woman, deceased at the scene.

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Around 10:30 p.m. Monday, Sheriff’s Office deputies and Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives responded to a fatal collision involving three vehicles at the intersection of 25th Ave W and 164th Street SW. When deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim, a 34-year-old woman, deceased at the scene.

A second vehicle involved in the collision was occupied by an 18-year-old female driver and a 17-year-old female passenger. Both females were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. A third vehicle involved in the collision was driven by an 18-year-old male and he remained at the scene.

During the investigation, CIU detectives learned the two 18-year-old drivers were traveling westbound on 164th Street SW when one of the vehicles t-boned the victim’s vehicle at the intersection of 25th Ave W.

CIU detectives are still working to determine the cause of the crash, but believe speed was a contributing factor. The road was closed for several hours while detectives continued their investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information regarding the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 425-388-3845.

Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
