The unnamed 16-year-old boy was reportedly arrested without incident Monday. He will be held at the Denney Juvenile Justice Center.

EDMONDS, WA — Police in Edmonds released more details regarding the shooting death of 17-year-old Gala Zuehlke following the Monday afternoon arrest of the 16-year-old Mountlake Terrace boy suspected of killing her. Edmonds police officials previously said the shooting may have been an accident; now the juvenile suspect is charged with murder.
The unnamed teen suspect will be held at the Denney Juvenile Justice Center in Everett, officials said. Three other individuals were also detained when the boy was arrested around 1 p.m. Dec. 3. Two other juvenile boys and one woman were interviewed by police; the district prosecutor is reportedly reviewing pending charges for rendering criminal assistance.
The parents of the Mountlake Terrace boy suspected of murdering Zuehlke reported their son missing nearly two weeks ago, according to law enforcement.

Zuehlke was found dead Nov. 30 around 4 p.m. in the apartment she shared with her father in Edmonds. Police initially described Zuehlke's death as an accident, but were quick to say another teen from Mountlake Terrace was wanted for questioning.
After working through the weekend, Edmonds detectives on Monday learned where the boy was staying. He was arrested without incident late Monday morning, officials said. However, the weapon used to kill Zuehlke has not yet been recovered.
