The following local residents were among those students at George Fox University who earned a spot on the school's dean's list for the fall 2012 semester. Students had to earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better to land a spot on the list.
- Joel Rurik of Gig Harbor, a Freshman majoring in Biology and History
- Shanna Coulston of Gig Harbor, a Sophomore majoring in Art
- Erika Moss of Gig Harbor, a Junior majoring in Nursing
