Passionate About Parks? Serve on the Gig Harbor Parks Commission

The City of Gig Harbor is looking for citizens interested in serving on the Gig Harbor Parks Commission. To learn more about the Parks Commission, local residents are invited to attend the next regular meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 5:30 p.m. at the Civic Center. 

Commissioners are selected from the Gig Harbor community at large and must live in city limits. Parks Commission members are appointed on the basis of demonstrated interest, knowledge and support of parks.

The purpose of the Commission is to advise the Mayor and City Council on park and recreation facilities, open space acquisition and development, maintenance and operation of parks and recreation public facilities, operation of parks and recreation programs and other matters as directed.
