Allstar Guitar and Music Academy Doubles Space and Ability to Bring Music to Gig Harbor Area

Since 1994, Dan and May Wilson have been operating “Allstar Guitar” in Gig Harbor.
This month marks a significant change for the business, as they have opened in their new location, 3110 Harborview Dr., doubling their retail and music academy space.
The new location, above Spiro’s Pizza, fulfills a dream for the couple, to expand the music academy. Although the service aspect of the business has always been their bread and butter, they can now accommodate as many as 400 students at the academy.

“Every kid should have something in the arts and something in sports they can enjoy” Wilson said. “We are trying to make music available to everyone.”
The new space opens an opportunity for the academy to expand into wind instruments. Instruction is now available in guitar, piano, electric guitar, banjo, all wind instruments, drums, cello, ukulele, violin, bass, mandolin, voice and more.
