Burglary Suspects Sought In Gig Harbor: Police

Two men were recorded on surveillance cameras burglarizing a contractor's job site at St. Anthony Hospital last month. Police seek tips.

GIG HARBOR, WA — Police in Gig Harbor have asked the community for help identifying the men riding in a blue, older-model Chevy pickup allegedly associated with a burglary at St. Anthony Hospital last month.

Video taken from surveillance cameras at the hospital show the two men pull into the parking lot at 11567 Canterwood Blvd. NW around 1 p.m. Oct. 17. Exiting the conspicuously colored truck, the video shows the men breaking the lock of a storage container being used by a local contractor performing remodel work at the hospital.

Taking as much as they can as quickly as possible, the men are reportedly seen loading an assortment of miscellaneous power tools into the back of the truck before fleeing the area. According to Gig Harbor Police Officer Jeff Martineau, the stolen tools have an estimated value between $800 and $900.

While the video quality did not allow for investigators to identify the two male suspects, it did offer a decent look at the uniquely-colored truck. Mostly blue but clearly aged, the vehicle appears to have a swath of white or Bondo-gray coloring smeared across the passenger side and partially across the hood.

Anyone who recognizes the truck or knows of any power tools recently traded or pawned at local pawn stores is encouraged to contact Officer Martineau at 253-851-2236. Reference case # 1829001071.
