Garbage Services Delayed By Weather

Murrey's Disposal has pushed garbage service pickups back one day due to continued inclement weather throughout the region.

GIG HARBOR, WA - Continued snowfall will disrupt regular garbage services for Murrey's Disposal customers in Gig Harbor this week, the company announced Monday.

With no pickups taking place Monday, all pickup services this week will be pushed back one day, weather permitting.

Customers who've not yet had their garbage picked up since last week will be allowed to set out double their usual garbage and recycling for pickup as soon as Murrey's Disposal can make it around safely.

For customers who have more garbage than will fit in their regular service can, Murrey's Disposal said it will pickup overflow garbage in tied bags or a personally-owned 32-gallon can. The same will be done for extra recycling.

"We appreciate your understanding as our goal is to provide SAFE service for both our communities and drivers," the company said in a statement. "We apologize for the inconvenience."
