GIG HARBOR DAILY: What's Happening Today (Sat, Oct 2)
Get clued into everything happening in town with the Gig Harbor Daily.

Hello, people of Gig Harbor and happy Saturday!
It's a great time to be a Washington sports fan: all weekend, the Mariners will be battling Los Angeles for a shot at making the playoffs. If they can pull it off, it'll be the first time they've made the postseason in 19 years. We at Patch are very excited about the prospect, and my fellow editor Lucas Combos and I will be out at tonight's game, and can hopefully bring you more from the big event.
More locally, there's a lot going on this week at the Peninsula School District. The district is launching a voluntary program to help unvaccinated students who are exposed to the disease avoid being sent home to quarantine through rapid COVID-19 testing. The district is also raising concerns about anti-mask parents, who have been crowding recent Peninsula School Board meetings. The Gig Harbor Gateway has an excellent write-up on that situation.
