Gig Harbor, Lakewood Libraries Get New Law Kiosks
Readers in Gig Harbor and Lakewood no longer need to drive to Tacoma for legal references.

GIG HARBOR, WA — The Pierce County Library System is offering a new resource at its Gig Harbor and Lakewood branches: new Law Library Kiosks.
Before, Pierce County residents interested in reading up on local laws had to visit the Law Library at the County City Building in Tacoma.
Now, residents of Lakewood and Gig Harbor can simply visit their local libraries to learn more about:

Visitors looking for even more help can book an appointment with a law librarian by calling 253-798-2691 or contacting webref@piercecountylibrary.org via email.
"As the only public law library in Pierce County, the mission of the Pierce County Law Library is to provide county-wide convenient access to current legal information including explanatory materials," the Law Library's mission statement reads. "The library will provide information in print and electronic formats as are suitable for the diverse Pierce County community to use in criminal and civil litigation and for the resolution of personal and business legal matters. Our mission is also to provide trained and knowledgeable Library staff to assist patrons in meeting their legal information needs."
