Gig Harbor Seeks Applications For City Council Position
Gig Harbor is looking for someone to replace Tracie Markley, who officially resigned to become the mayor at the start of the year.
GIG HARBOR, WA β The City of Gig Harbor is looking for a new city councilmember to replace Mayor Tracie Markley.
Markley, who previously held position 4 on the Gig Harbor City Council, ran to replace Mayor Kit Kuhn in the 2021 general election. She won handily, running unopposed and garnering more than 90 percent of the vote, but now that she has been sworn in as mayor, someone will need to take her place on the council.
If you're interested in becoming the next Gig Harbor City Councilmember, the city will be accepting applications until noon on Friday, January 14. Applications can be submitted online.
