Got A Name For Gig Harbor's New Park?
Residents are invited to offer their name suggestions for the city's newest park at a public hearing early next month.
GIG HARBOR, WA - Got a good name for Gig Harbor's newest park? The city's Parks Commission at a public hearing in two weeks will accept community suggestions to name the 2-acre property formerly known as the Haub triangle.
Gig Harbor bought the thickly forested property at the corner of Soundview and Harborview drives in 2018 from citizens of the community. Since then, the park has been made into a place for residents and visitors to relax and get a nice view of the harbor.
Suggestions given to the Parks Commission at its meeting next month will be forwarded to the Gig Harbor City Council for final approval.
