Michaels Opens This Friday in Gig Harbor

The wait is almost over for Gig Harbor’s arts and crafts fans as Michaels gets ready to open this Friday, April 26, for its soft opening from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The store is located next to Kohl’s in the Point Fosdick Square shopping center at 4919 Point Fosdick Dr. NW.

On Sunday, April 28, Michaels will be celebrating its grand opening with a ribbon cutting and other festivities.

Sunday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9:45 a.m., and doors open at 10 a.m.

The store will be giving away more than $1,000 in gift cards and prizes hourly throughout the day. In addition, customers will have a chance to win items from the prize wheel, which includes jewelry, art supplies, stickers, colorful Duck^® tape and more.

The celebration continues through the week with gift basket giveaways each evening, and kids can explore their creativity with $2 kids crafting events on Saturdays.

The Texas-based company offers art supplies, home décor, custom framing, classes, jewelries and more.

The new 18,480 square-foot store will employ more than 60 people, according to the company press release.
