Motorcyclist From Gig Harbor Dies in Crash on State Route 302
The incident occurred late Saturday, when a small SUV collided with the motorcycle just north of 144th Street NW, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A 21-year-old Gig Harbor man died late Saturday after a car struck his motorcycle on State Route 302.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling south about 11 p.m., when a small SUV driven by a Gig Harbor man, 43, was headed in the opposite direction, just north of 144th Street NW.
The car attempted to turn left and collided with the motorcycle.

The driver of the SUV - who notified authorities of the crash - wasn’t injured. Authorities are investigating whether alcohol or drugs may have been involved, and charges could be pending.
Authorities haven’t released the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
