Pres. Obama, Gov. Gregoire Order Flags to Half Staff

Gov. Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff as per President Obama’s proclamation as a mark of respect for the victims of today’s tragic events in Newtown, Connecticut.

Flags should remain at half-staff until sunset/close of business on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
